Tijuana, 30 de marzo de 2026.- Tijuana, March 30, 2026.- A man opened fire against a musical group that had been hired to celebrate a birthday, leaving one person dead and another injured.
The events occurred at the Del Roble salon located on Calle del Roble number 3040 in the Ciudad Jardín neighborhood, in the San Antonio de los Buenos delegation in Tijuana.
According to witnesses, during the middle of the party, the aggressor took out a pistol and fired multiple shots into the air. Subsequently, he pointed toward the musical group and fired again.
The fatal victim was identified as Arturo Rivera, vocalist of the group ‘Reacción.’ The second voice, Raúl Garay Suárez, 24 years old, was injured and taken to a hospital.
Employees of the place stated that after the attack, the guests at the party and the aggressor escaped from the site.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Baja California opened the corresponding investigation. So far, the identity of the responsible party is unknown.
A member of the Reacción group stated that the vocalist had finalized the agreement to sing at the party, that they were contacted via social media and received payment through an electronic transfer.
Twelve percussion shell casings were counted at the party hall. Authorities found ballistic casings at the location.
The complainant referred to the alleged responsible party as ‘the birthday boy’ and stated that he wore dark clothing and had a tattoo on his neck. The establishment did not have security cameras.
